Written By The Inn at Fox Hollow | 01/30/19 | 2 min read

Long Island knows how to celebrate Halloween! From eerie haunted houses and fun family events at local museums, the Gold Coast is a fun place to plan an October vacation. Our Woodbury hotel is conveniently located just a short drive from some of the most popular Halloween events in New York. Reserve one of our stylish suites on the North Shore and dress up in your favorite costume. Halloween is right around the corner!

Here are few fun ideas to make the most of our Halloween vacation on Long Island:

Rise of the Jack O’ Lanterns
See 5,000 hand-carved pumpkins all lit up for the Halloween season! Take a scenic stroll down harvest paths lit by these beautiful Jack O’ Lanterns. Rise of the Jack O’ Lanterns is located close to our hotel at Old Westbury Gardens less than 10 miles away.

Wail-ling Boo-seum and Festival
Hosted by the Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum, this annual tradition combines maritime history with spooky all-ages fun. Mark your calendar for Sunday, October 29th when the museum welcomes adults and kids for haunted exhibits, face painting, and a petting zoo. Wear your costumes to the museum’s biggest event of the year!

Bayville Scream Park
Scream your way to a good time at one of Long Island’s most popular haunted houses just 10 miles from Fox Hollow. Bayville Scream Park features six unique attractions including a haunted mansion, zombie pirates, and a funhouse of fear! This spooky haunted house near Woodbury is open most nights in October. You can even visit on All Hallow’s Eve for an unforgettable evening of ghosts and goblins. Doors at open at 7 pm and close on weekdays at 10 pm and midnight on weekends.
